Hi all!
I was wondering- should I remove the time stamp from my photos? Based on a comment from a fellow internet user, I should remove it, as it totally spoils my photos. However, a time stamp also shows its originality! Yeah I know, professionals can track what kind of camera I use through that. You don't have to beacause I'll tell you. It may be lousy, but it's compact, handy, and has an unbelievable startup time (Which means fast). It's the 5-MegaPixel Konica Minolta Dimage X50 bought in end-2004. Please comment!
Yours sincerely,
Steven

Hi again. I'm not a professional or even a good amateur, I just enjoy photographing things. I like to photograph normal things, but somehow make them more interesting. I can absolutely guarantee you that you have more naturally beautiful things to shoot in Singapore than I do in Southampton, UK!!! I have seen pictures of the skyscrapers at night which look fantastic, you have zoos and parks, even your own garden. You'll always find stuff.
Regards traffic. Here is what I have done:
1.Join Linkreferall: http://www.linkreferral.com/adwel.pl?oldrefid=200204
Here, you visit other peoples sites and review them and they do the same to you. It is done on keyword search too, so you do get interested people. The more you participate, the higher your traffic back. (you need to put a small badge on your site, but is no problem)
2. Join Flickr! (www.flickr.com)
Upload all your photos to Flickr, link to your blog. Look at other peoples photos and comment, the more you do that, the more people will come and look at yours too, and in turn go to your blog.
3.Join Entrecard (www.entrecard.com)
Here, you put a little box on your site that says 'drop' on it. People search for blogs of interest, have a look round, 'drop' a card on your site, and most people visit each others sites after receiving a drop. It's a good site this one.
4. Submit your blog address to as many blog directories and search engines as possible. Here's a few:
google: http://www.google.com/addurl/
yahoo: http://add.yahoo.com/fast/add
Blog Catalog: http://www.blogcatalog.com/blogs/submit_blog.html
Bloghub:
http://www.bloghub.com/cgi-bin/user.cgi?signup_form=1
Blog directory:
http://www.blogdirectory.org.uk/rules.php
And the list goes on! (just type in 'blog directory' in google and you get thousands of directories come up!) All this will take a little time and a small amount of effort but it is worth it when you start getting regular visitors, comments and followers seeing your photography!
Also, just serach blogger and wordpress etc... for blogs that interest you and leave valid comments about their sites. Most of the time, people come back to your site and do the same. Follow other blogs you like, and add them in a list on your page, that helps them get traffic too.
Phew! But it does work. Honest.
G'day mate, I saw your question about increasing traffic to your site.
Mainly, you need to post every day - to encourage casual readers to keep coming back.
Happy to help if you have any questions.....
My opinion, for what it's worth is to remove the date stamp. We'll believe what you tell us!
I was in your country early August and enjoyed my stay there immensely. Everybody is so friendly and helpful. I will return before too long. I look forward to following your photo blog and will put a link on my blog. Your photos are magic, keep them coming. Regards Noel
