This flower sort of stood out when I glanced at a thorny bush. It was the only flower left standing! Its vibrant colours certainly attracted my attention. I was on a school trip that day, and not much time was left. I just withdrew my 400D (school's) and snapped the shot with Prime Lens, without thinking twice. When I reached home, I Photoshopped it. Wow I added so many unnecessary effects. Please comment on how I can make this better...

Hi again, that's a nice photo. Maybe you could try deepening the colours a bit or maybe a bit of backlight? I often use a programme called PHOTOSCAPE. It is free for download and does some good simple stuff. I use paintshop/ photoshop when i have more time, but photoscapee is so quick and simple to learn and use.
